Steps to Apply
Initial inquiry
Complete our initial inquiry form.
Initial application and pre-screening
Fill out the initial application and upload foreign credential evaluation, English test(s), and diploma translated into English.
Interview with Intrax
The Intrax team will interview you to determine your eligibility.
Pay fee and sign
If applicable, pay the non-refundable $125 application fee and sign our terms & conditions.
Prepare your application documents
Together with the Intrax team, you will work on your resume and credentials to be sent to schools in the U.S.
Interview with U.S. schools
Attend virtual interviews with schools in the U.S. and find a match!
Receive an offer
Receive, review, and accept your job offer letter.
Apply for your J-1 visa
Once your offer letter is signed, one of our program coordinators will reach out to work with you on your J-1 visa application. For more details, review the process from step 2 onwards here.
For teachers with a placement offer already
If you already have a placement offer, or have a placement offer pending, we provide ongoing support to get you en route to your placement seamlessly. Our resources and community connections help you obtain your J-1 visa for your existing offer stress-free.
Steps to Apply
Register online
Register with Intrax online. Wait for initial email from your Intrax program coordinator.
Upload documents
Upload the required application documents in your Intrax online portal.
Payment
Intrax will send an invoice by email to you (or your agency / host school, if applicable).
Complete video modules
Watch the Intrax orientation video and complete our Intrax orientation module.
Interview
Depending on the type of English language test you have provided, we may interview you to verify your proficiency.
Verification process
If you are eligible for the J-1 Visa, your Intrax coordinator will send you the information you need to schedule your visa interview at your nearest U.S. Embassy.
Finalize documents
When you receive your documents from Intrax for electronic signature, make sure you thoroughly review all pages, including the "Host School Information" section, before signing. Intrax will send you a digital copy of your DS-2019 if your application is approved.
